Achievement isn’t the problem. Misaligned achievement is.

I help high achievers whose careers look great on paper but no longer feel right get clear on what’s next and take the first real step.

Drift is inevitable. Living there is optional.

Gina Sottile, career coach in Waterford, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Gina.

I spent 28 years building a career that looked great on paper (sound familiar?). Now I help people make sure theirs still feels right. Pull up a chair.

A little about me

Start here · four quick steps

One click at a time. No hunting.

Step 1 · Is this you?

The thoughts that show up on Sunday night.

Tap any that sound familiar. (Usually right around the time the week ahead starts to feel heavy.)

If one of these sounded a little too familiar, you’re in good company. That’s drift: life slowly pulling you away from your own definition of success. Nobody decides to drift. It happens one reasonable yes at a time.

Step 2 · The method

From Drift to 10 · the way forward

Your 10 is your own definition of success: where you want to be, in your words, not someone else’s. Everyone is pursuing a 10. Drift begins when we stop defining our own.

  1. DDiscover

    Recognize the drift.

Notice where your choices have moved away from where you meant to go.

  2. RReflect

    Understand how you arrived here.

Look at the expectations, pressures and patterns that shaped the path (most of them perfectly reasonable at the time).

  3. IIdentify

    Define your 10.

Decide what success means to you now, clearly enough to use it.

  4. FFilter

Filter every choice through your 10.

Put it to work on real decisions, starting with the next one.

  5. TTether

    Stay connected to your 10.

Spot drift early and adjust before it grows, even when life gets busy.

A framework should guide your thinking. It should never replace your thinking.

Step 3 · Ways to work together

Start where you are.

No hard sell here (pinky promise). Pick whatever feels right for this season of your life.

Your Career Looks Great on Paper. Does It Still Feel Right?

A short, honest guide for the Sunday-night thinkers. It’s on its way (good things take a minute).

The quiet problem

Something feels off, and you can’t quite name it.

Maybe that’s part of living more intentionally: noticing the quiet signals before they have to get loud.

The title, the reviews, the numbers: on paper, it all adds up. And still, the success you’ve been chasing doesn’t feel the way you thought it would. (Sunday nights have a way of being honest about this.)

That’s drift: life slowly pulling you away from your own definition of success. Nobody decides to drift. It happens one reasonable yes at a time.

And it isn’t a character flaw (you’re not lazy, and you’re definitely not ungrateful). Success doesn’t prevent it, and neither does growth. The answer isn’t reinvention. It’s reconnection.

How I arrived here (the short version)

My story, in three beats

01

28 years

A career in financial services

Financial advisor, then leading sales enablement and retirement education teams. It all looked great on paper.

02

The shift

Something shifted

Somewhere between the spreadsheets, one question mattered more than the rest: why do capable people drift from what they want? (Me included.)

03

Why M10

So I chose meaning

M10 exists to bring meaning behind the work people do and the ways organizations grow.

A little about me

The longer version (still short, promise)

For 28 years I worked in financial services, first as a financial advisor, then leading sales enablement and retirement education teams (including a wonderful team of 26). And somewhere between the spreadsheets, I noticed the question that mattered most to me: why do capable people drift from what they want?

The smartest, most driven people often hit every number and still wonder why it doesn’t feel like enough. Most of them have simply drifted, one reasonable yes at a time. (I say that with love, as someone who has done her fair share of drifting.)

So I chose meaning, and founded M10 Solutions. These days I ask good questions, listen closely, and help you see your situation clearly enough to take the next step. Usually with a few laughs along the way, because growth doesn’t have to be so serious.

Home is Waterford, Wisconsin. Off the clock, you’ll find me hiking, at a Brewers game, enjoying great coffee, or deep in a conversation or book about personal growth and human behavior.

Curious where you stand?

Take the Drift Index, or send me a note. The first conversation is free. Bring your questions (and your coffee).
